Purdue University

Mathematics you can measure, code, and explore

The Data Science Labs are one-credit companion courses that connect calculus, multivariable calculus, signals and systems, and probability to Python, Jupyter notebooks, sensors, microprocessors, and real data.

Course sequence

How the labs work

One credit

Each course is a focused laboratory companion to a mathematics or engineering course.

Weekly projects

Students work in Jupyter notebooks, write Python, and connect mathematical ideas to data.

Open materials

The laboratory textbooks are published by The Data Science Labs organization and can be viewed without a Purdue login.

Enrolled students: Brightspace and Gradescope remain the authoritative sources for assignments, submissions, grades, and deadline changes.
