MA 26190 / ECE 29595: Multivariable Calculus

Projects use vectors, color, images, video, derivatives, vector fields, and line integrals to solve computational problems.

• Prerequisite: MA 16290 or prior Python experience
• Corequisite: Multivariable calculus
• Format: Weekly face-to-face computer laboratory

What students do

• Represent, create, and detect color using vectors, LEDs, and color sensors.
• Quantize images and detect edges.
• Acquire and analyze video and optical flow.
• Build a planimeter using Green's theorem and line integrals.
